Can a groomers perfume cause a dogs hair to thin in that particular area?

just because it is made for dogs does not mean it is safe for dogs. We have all seen this with the pet food recall.

Your dog's skin is probably being agitated by this spray, so the dog is scratching, etc and loosing hair.Ask the groomer to not use it. Healthy dogs don't smell, especially if they have just been groomed. The perfume is not necessary.

Maybe- if he's allergic to it he might be scratching that area. If in doubt ask the groomer to skip it a couple of times and see if there is any improvement.

NO. It is canine perfume %26amp; won't harm your dog. The dogs themselves don't like it but is for our own pleasure that it is used.

Some dogs, as soon as they get home, will try to rub it off by wallering on the floor or your bed.

You can request that the perfume not be used on your dog.

It can cause your dog to scratch and rub that particular area repeatedly and make it thin out. Some dogs can be allergic and/or hate the smell so they try to rub it off furiously irritating the area.
